How can Leicester City clinch Premier League Title?

After Sunday’s 4-0 win over Swansea City, Leicester City is closer to winning the Premier League. They now lead Tottenham by eight points before they play on Monday.

Leicester can clinch the title in their next game if two things happen. Tottenham must lose on Monday and Leicester City defeats Manchester United. It will be hard to win on the road at Manchester United. Yet, if the pieces all fall in place Leicester City could be crowned the champions on May 1.

Even if Leicester City doesn’t win in their next game, they are still in good shape to win the title. Currently, they have a 93.2% chance of winning according to ESPN’s SPI. They need five points to clinch the title outright without any help from Tottenham continuing to drop points.

They played fantastic without Jamie Vardy on the field on Sunday. He should be back for their next match and be able to help them earn a tie on the road. Leicester City’s toughest match is their next and they need to get three points at home against a struggling Everton side. Their last match against Chelsea could be important or not depending on how Leicester City and Tottenham play in their games in the next two weeks.

Those who best on Leicester City to win the title when the season began are about to get paid. They are just waiting patiently for the Premier League side to officially clinch the title and that could come as soon as May 1.
