The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 4 to complete the series sweep.
Not even a power outage could stop the San Antonio Spursā quest to reach the second round of the NBA Playoffs on Saturday. After the Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies traded the lead back and forth with each other, a power outage caused the game to be delayed for 18 minutes.
After the game returned to action, the Spurs began to find their groove and they were able to roll through the depleted Grizzliesā roster. In true Spurs fashion, they kept stringing the Grizzlies along and had them thinking that they were still in it.
Then as the third quarter rolled around, Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge really took over. Leonard and Aldridge both were efficient in shooting the basketball and really focused on the boards against Chris Andersen and Zach Randolph.
While those two were getting to work down low, Tony Parker was using the open lanes to get to the hoop and make some great plays driving. The limited depth of the Grizzliesā roster finallyĀ caught up to them and the Spurs were able to pull away once and for all as the fourth quarter rolled around.
San Antonio would empty their bench and that would be it from Memphis, as the Spurs completed the series sweep.
