Washington Capitals all over Twitter celebrated after their team defied history and advanced past the first round.

The first round of the 2016 Stanley Cup playoffs was a bit of a roller coaster for Caps fans. Fans were at their highest of highs after the Caps got a 3-0 series lead against the Philadelphia Flyers. They quickly reached their lowest of lows after the Caps lost the next two games. Fans immediately started worrying if the Caps would once again find a way to blow a huge series lead in the playoffs. Their team answered that question today with a 1-0 win over the Flyers to advance to the second round.

It was an emotional series for Capitals fans, so the celebration and jubilee was extreme. They will advance to the second round to face the Pittsburgh Penguins. The best news? They won’t have to face their hugest playoff demon, the New York Rangers. Fans will have to wait and see if the Caps can dispose of the Penguins, but for now, all is well in Caps land. Fans reacted on Twitter. Here are some of the best tweets from Caps fans following their team’s series win.

And of course someone had to do a ridiculous crying Jordan!
