Which NASCAR drivers should you pick for your fantasy team during the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Speedway?
After an exciting race at Bristol last week, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Richmond International Speedway for the Toyota Owners 400 on Sunday afternoon. Some drivers are on fire, while others are struggling so far this season.
Check out four drivers you should select for your NASCAR Fantasy team.
It’s Tony Stewart’s first race of the season. He’s been at all the races this year and has interacted often with his team and temporary driver. This has allowed him to see how the races have gone and continued to develop chemistry with his crew, which should bode well when Stewart races in his first Sprint Cup Series race of the year. He most likely won’t win, but Stweart will definitely be hungry to do well at Richmond.
Kevin Harvick currently leads in the chase standings, but only by one point over Carl Edwards. Harvick has seven top-ten finishes in the season’s seven races so far. He’s racing at an elite level this season, and fantasy users can’t go wrong selecting him for the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond.
No matter where NASCAR is racing, Jimmie Johnson is always a threat. He’s a veteran NASCAR driver and is a well-oiled machine when it comes to his pit stops and race day strategy. This year Johnson hasn’t been the best driver, but he’s been a contender week in and week out until the checkered flag waves.
Kyle Busch has won two races in the last three weeks. He’s also been one of the most consistent drivers so far this season. In addition to his two wins this season, he also has six top-five and top-ten finishes. If he doesn’t win at Richmond, he should at least find a spot in the top ten, and that is good news for your fantasy team.
