4. Ross Stripling-Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers have gotten off to a hot start and sit atop the NL West. One of the reasons they’ve been good lately is their solid starting pitching including a good start to the year my rookie Ross Stripling.

Stripling made a splash in his MLB debut throwing 7.1 no-hit innings against the Giants although he did give up a run due to four walks.  He pitched well in his next outing as well going six innings and allowing two runs against the Diamondbacks.  His most recent start wasn’t his best as he allowed six hits and two walks in just 3.2 innings to the Braves, but he was able to limit the damage to just two earned runs and keep his ERA to a respectable 2.65.

Stripling is bound to be a little inconsistent as a rookie starter, but he has a ton of upside and is in a good matchup tonight as the Dodgers  host the Marlins in pitcher-friendly Dodger Stadium. Stripling is a volatile option, but he has plenty of upside in a  winnable game tonight at Chavez Ravine.
