For months, Finn Balor has been rumored to be coming to the WWE main roster. This was only furthered once Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows and debuted a few weeks ago on Raw. Plus, Balor lost the NXT Championship tp Samoa Joe on Thursday at a live event.
Since then, the Demon has been teasing that he could be called up soon, giving a different tease every night over the weekend. Some days it seemed like his time in NXT was over while others made it feel like he was heading to Raw and SmackDown.
So what’s the deal with Balor? Nothing has been confirmed on if he’ll be appearing on Raw on April 25, but it doesn’t seem like it at this point.
If WWE is planning on bringing in Balor for the Hartford, CT show, though, an ideal point in the broadcast would be to show up during Anderson and Gallows’ match. The former IWGP Tag Team Champions are facing The Usos in their in-ring debut. Based on how they have been willing to cheaply attack Jimmy, Jey and Roman Reigns, maybe Balor could show up here and aid his friends in either beating The Usos or causing a disqualification in some way.
So if Finn Balor is indeed debuting on Raw on Monday, maybe WWE is hiding it. They could pull the old trick where they hide the person in a production truck all day until it’s time for them to come to the ring. Similar things were done for Shane McMahon and AJ Styles this year. We’ll just have to see what the plan is for Monday, or if he arrives at WWE Payback on May 1.
