Kevin Durant calls Mark Cuban an idiot for his Russell Westbrook comments (Video)

Thunder forward Kevin Durant called Mavericks owner Mark Cuban an idiot after Cuban said Russell Westbrook wasn’t a superstar.

The Oklahoma City Thunder finally finished off the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the NBA Playoffs on Monday night, but there was no love lost between the two sides before or after the game. Before Game 5 in Oklahoma City, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban stated that he did not think that Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook was a superstar.

It’s hard to say whether this stemmed Westbrook dancing and getting into it with Mavericks players over the series or not. After the Thunder advanced past the Mavericks, Kevin Durant didn’t take too kindly to Cuban’s comments about his teammate.

During the post-game press conference, Durant called Cuban an “idiot.”

It’s safe to say that neither of these individuals will be ending up in Dallas during their respective free agencies. Cuban is usually known as an owner that the players around the league love, so it’s weird to see him get involved in this type of situation.

Then again, it made the series more fun and it will make all future series between the two sides even better if their teams remain in tact.
