NFL Mock Draft 2016: Cleveland commits a heist
By Brad Rowland
With less than a week until the 2016 NFL Draft kicks off in Chicago, the end of the process is finally in sight. For some folks, NFL Draft speculation can’t come soon enough as the actual football season concludes, but for those with that mindset, the draft ringer never seems to end, with nearly three months of rampant speculation about what each and every team will do with its allotted picks. For others, the NFL Draft chatter doesn’t really ratchet up until at least March, and they probably have a real appetite for even more daylight before the draft order begins to churn on Apr. 28.
Regardless, it is time.
Throughout the process, we have weighed in with various mock drafts, ranging from pundit-focused efforts from the likes of Mel Kiper, Todd McShay and Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller, to even a themed effort that concerned the Titans (who no longer own the top pick) going in a wild direction that would affect the rest of the board. Now, we simply put forth our best effort at pegging what will actually take place in Chicago, using the intelligence around the league with a bit of our own opinion infused into the formula.
The NFL Draft is fun and arguing about what will happen the NFL Draft is perhaps even more enjoyable. There is still time, and we do our best here. Let’s get things rolling, beginning with the highly-anticipated choice of the Los Angeles Rams.
