Stephen Curry freaked everyone out his MCL injury with a cryptic tweet.

Stephen Curry was a game-time decision to go in Game 4 of the Golden State Warriors’ first round series against the Houston Rockets. While top-seeded Golden State cruised to an easy third win in the series on Sunday night, the Warriors nearly lost their best player for an extended period, as the reigning MVP seemed to have hurt his knee on a play near the three-point line.

Curry took to Twitter on Monday afternoon in good spirits, which could assure the Warriors that their star player won’t miss significant time with an ACL or MCL tear in his knee.

The key part to his Monday afternoon Tweet was “All things considered I’m Gonna be alright!”. Curry wouldn’t include that is his quasi-cryptic Tweet if he had any significant damage done to his knee during Sunday night’s easy win over the Rockets.

So does this mean that Curry will play in Game 5 back at Oracle Arena in Oakland on Wednesday night? Probably not, as Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical of Yahoo! Sports tweeted out on Monday afternoon that while “Curry’s MRI on knee has returned negative, no damage”, he “could miss two weeks” with “A Grade 1 sprain”.

This would mean that Golden State won’t have Curry available in the rest of their first round series with the Rockets, however long it lasts (one to three more games) and probably at least Game 1 and Game in their Western Conference Semifinals matchup between either the No. 4 Los Angeles Clippers or the No. 5 Portland Trail Blazers, should Golden State advance of course.

While things could have been a lot worse, it does seem that Curry will miss the next two weeks for the Warriors. Will Golden State be able to tread water in the league MVP’s two-week absence?
