In a strange twist on Monday, Tom Brady’s Deflategate suspension has been held up

There’s a lot of focus on the NFL Draft this week, but if you were sick of the Tom Brady “Deflategate” news, then you’re going to be sorely disappointed.

In a bit of stunning news on Monday, the US Court of Appeals has actually reinstated the suspension of Brady for the actions that he reportedly took during the 2015 AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts.

For those that might be unaware for some reason, Brady was accused of being in the know about the Patriots equipment team taking the air out of the balls before the crucial game, and some have even speculated that he was behind the whole thing. He was to serve a four-game suspension in 2015, but that never ended up taking place.

However, with this ruling on Monday, Brady will have to serve that suspension after all, which is detrimental to the Patriots for the first four games of the 2016 season as they look to get back to the Super Bowl.

Brady and New England made it to the AFC Championship Game this past season where they were defeated by the Denver Broncos.
