WWE RAW results, April 25, 2016: Live tracker

Following the live results from WWE RAW on April 25, 2016 from Hartford

WWE RAW is back in the United States as the company just wrapped up their European Tour and will now gear up for the WWE Payback pay-per-view in mind as this is the final episode of WWE RAW before that show. As such, fans can expect big things to happen in Hartford, CT on Monday night, April 25 in front of the live audience.

The first thing that you have to wonder is if Shane McMahon will once again be in control of WWE RAW. Despite losing at WrestleMania, Shane O Mac has been given control of the show every weeks since. With only one episode left until Payback, will they give him the reins to the show again?

Things are heating up more than ever between Roman Reigns and AJ Styles now that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson—formerly of Bullet Club in New Japan—have arrived and seemingly have sided with the challenger in Styles. Their attack on Roman last week sure made it seem that way, but their true intentions still haven’t fully been revealed. As such, anything could happen with that new duo as they also make their in-ring debut on WWE RAW.

Also on deck for WWE RAW will be further developments going toward Payback matches. That means that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will almost surely get into it, as will Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose. Moreover, you have to wonder if Natalya and Charlotte have anything else in store for one another.

As most go-home shows are, but especially with everything that’s been happening as of late, this is definitely an episode of WWE RAW you won’t want to miss anything from and you can keep up with all the action below with our live tracker for the events and results. Moreover, stay part of the discussion in the comments at the bottom of the page.

Sibling Love…Lol, JK

Shane McMahon was out to start WWE RAW yet again, saying that he was in control of the show again because of the fans and that he was ready to have some fun on Monday night in Hartford. That called back a returning Stephanie McMahon to represent The Authority.

Steph then said that Shane wouldn’t be in control of WWE RAW after this week. However, Shane O Mac aptly noted that he was still in control on Monday and that Stephanie needed to leave his ring. He then had her escorted out by security, though she didn’t go quietly.

AJ Styles vs. Sheamus

This match was back and forth largely in the early going before Sheamus took the advantage of the No. 1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

However, Styles is far too talented to be stifled like that for the entire match and mounted a comeback.

He was then able to hit the Phenomenal Forearem and pin The Celtic Warrior for the win.

Winner: AJ Styles

After the match, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were out in their new long white, leather dusters to seemingly support AJ’s victory.

There was a backstage segment between Roman Reigns and The Usos that was like watching paint dry.

Tag Team Bonanza

The New Day were out for a brief promo, but they weren’t in the ring alone for long at all.

It wasn’t long after they were out, though, that The Vaudevillains joined them as they’ll be competing to become No. 1 Contenders at Payback. Their opponents weren’t far behind either, though, as Enzo and Big Cass came out to a big reaction from the crowd.

The Vaudevillains got mildly run down verbally by Enzo (go figure) and then New Day said that they were hype for Payback because they’re going to remain champs.

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows vs. The Usos

This was a longer-than-expected match that really showed off the two newcomers in Anderson and Gallows. The two former Bullet Club members sporting their new gear beat down the former WWE tag champs. They simply dominated this match. Though The Usos got a slight bit off offense in, Anderson and Gallows were the heavy hitters that won in the end with the Magic Killer.

Winner: Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows

After the match, Anderson and Gallows weren’t even remotely done as they looked to beat down The Usos. That brought out Roman reigns to come in and make the save.

Back from commercial break, Gallows and Anderson rationalized their actions of attacking Roman and so forth.

There was an incredible video package highlighting the rivalry between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

Sami Zayn vs. Rusev

This was a fun match as Rusev is honestly perpetually underrated as an in-ring performer. The Bulgarian Brute showed off his power for much of the match and really had the highly talented Zayn reeling for much of the match. However, The Underdog from The Underground got rolling a little bit and was ultimately able to squeak out a win.

Winner: Sami Zayn

As Sami walked up the ramp celebrating, though, he was jumped from behind by his opponent for Payback in Kevin Owens.

Stardust vs. Apollo Crews

These two competitors met backstage for a weird interaction before their match.

The match itself was quite quick with both men getting in a little work. It was Crews that ultimately got the upper hand, though, and picked up the victory.

Winner: Apollo Crews

Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho Come to Blows

Dean Ambrose was out to say that there’d be no Ambrose Asylum and that he just wanted to call out Chris Jericho, insulting the legend in the process. Y2J obliged by coming out and saying that he demanded an apology for all of the “disrespect” that Dean showed him. When Ambrose refused to do so, the two predictably started a brawl. Though the Lunatic Fringe had the upper hand early, Jericho was left standing tall after planting Ambrose on a TV monitor and then locking on the Walls of Jericho.

Natalya vs. Emma

This was a quick match that had Charlotte out on commentary. Natalya won by catching Emma in the Sharpshooter and then mouthing off to the Women’s Champion after the victory.

Winner: Natalya

Baron Corbin Can’t Even Get to the Ring

Baron Corbin was scheduled for a match, but he barely touched the entrance ramp before his opponent at Payback, Dolph Ziggler, popped out and beat him down to send a message.

Miz Doesn’t Stand a Chance Against Cesaro

Miz was out once again to stand there and piss people off while Maryse looked gorgeous. However, he insulted the fans in the Cesaro Section, which obviously brought out Cesaro. The two then had a heated exchange.

That led to Cesaro clocking Miz and standing tall with the Intercontinental title before leaving the belt and exiting the ring.

Roman Reigns vs. Alberto Del Rio

These two had a relatively nothing match that was fine, but nothing too great to speak of. It was really all just there to set up the ending before leading into Payback.

Right as it looked like Reigns was about to win, out came Gallows and Anderson to distract the champ. Del Rio almost got the pin, but Roman countered into a Spear to pick up the win. As he sat exasperated, though, the former Bullet Club attacked him—that is until AJ Styles called them off. But Roman was having none of it and hit Styles with a Superman Punch.

Reigns then turned his attention on the other two, taking both of them out. By the time he was done there, though, he got caught with the Phenomenal Forearm. What was left was AJ, Gallows, and Anderson standing going into Payback.
