The Los Angeles Clippers will be without Blake Griffin for the rest of the NBA Playoffs.

The Clippers were dealt a blow with Chris Paul breaking his hand that likely keeps him out for the rest of the playoffs and then saw Blake Griffin aggravate a quad injury that will end his postseason. Griffin missed 41 games during the regular season with the injury to his left quad tendon but is expected to be ready for training camp.

Taking away two All-Stars and two of the top 10-15 players in the NBA is a tough 1-2 punch for head coach Doc Rivers to deal with as the curse of the Clippers rears its ugly head once again.

Losing Paul would have been difficult enough for the Clippers to overcome but without Paul and Griffin, the Clippers are a dead team walking without the two perennial All-Stars.

Griffin was a shell of himself as he played through the quad injury that was clearly hampering the explosive power forward. Griffin was held to averages of 15.0 points, 8.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists in the playoffs this year after averaging 21.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 4.9 during the regular season.

If the Clippers advance they will play the San Antonio Spurs in the second round.

There is also the chance that Griffin has played his last game with the Clippers. Don’t be surprised if the Clippers put the five-time All-Star on the trade block in the offseason in an attempt to remake the roster.
