One-time yearly rivals Florida and Miami will meet again for one neutral-site game in the 2019 season, to be played in Orlando.

In a world where college football expansion has cost fans some long-time rivalries, it appears that one game that was a mainstay on schedules for the better part of a half century will return in a few seasons.

The Florida Gators and Miami Hurricanes, who last met in a game during the 2013 season, have agreed on a one time game to be played in Orlando:

The announcement came at the same time as the historic Citrus Bowl stadium in Orlando was given a new corporate sponsor. Camping World signed a deal with the stadium that will see them sponsor one opening-day college football game each season, starting this year.

Florida and Miami have met just six times since the 1987 season (the last season of their yearly meetings) with the Hurricanes winning five of those contests, including a 21-16 decision just three years ago. Miami has also won 12 of the last 16 games between the schools dating back to the 1978 season.

Florida and Miami will be the third game scheduled of the new Camping World Kickoff Game, as the Florida State Seminoles will open the 2016 season against the Ole Miss Rebels, while the Alabama Crimson Tide will take on the Louisville Cardinals to open the 2018 season.

Florida and Miami broke off their yearly rivalry after the Gators claimed an increased number of SEC games required them to drop the longtime foe from their schedule. Miami claims their success at the time led to Florida dropping their series. Both schools have continued their yearly games against Florida State, which has swept both games in five of the last six seasons.
