Just when it looked like the Toronto Raptors’ playoff hopes were about to be put on ice by the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs on Tuesday night, the Raptors bench sparked a run that the Pacers weren’t prepared for and they took their first lead in seven quarters.
It was a group effort from everyone, but DeMar DeRozan ultimately led the way for the Raptors with 30-plus points and plenty of shots from the outside and some big shots down low. The Pacers meanwhile squandered a huge lead after their suffocating defense looked like it was going to stifle the Raptors again.
The Raptors picked up a key win at home and they are now just one win away from advancing to the second round of the playoffs. For those wondering when the two teams will meet in Game 6, the game will take place on Friday night in Indianapolis.
