The Carolina Panthers are one of the youngest teams in the NFL, having played their first season in 1995. But while they don’t have the storied history of some franchises, they have still made two trips to the Super Bowl. They have also had their share of great moments in the NFL draft.

For a team that’s barely been in existence for 20 years to have had the success the Panthers have, there obviously has to be some great drafting involved somewhere the way. As well as having some top 10 picks pan out as hoped, it’s also necessary to find value in the mid- to late rounds.

That the Panthers made it to the Super Bowl this past season with such a young team and such young leaders, is testament to how well they’ve done in the draft. Their first appearance in the Big Game at the end of the 2003 season, when the team hadn’t even been around for an entire decade, was also due to some impressive picks in the draft.
