4. Nick Tropeano-Los Angeles Angels (7.7%)

Tropeano takes the mound tonight in a tough matchup against the Royals, but he does get to go up against Chris Young who has been hammered so far this season. It’s not as bad a matchup as it initially appears, and Tropeano will look to continues a strong start to the season.

In his last start, Tropeano allowed two runs in 5.1 innings while walking four and allowing four hits to the Mariners.  He doesn’t have a quality start yet since he hasn’t pitched six full innings in any of his three outings. The stat where Tropeano has excelled this season is ERA. He has allowed just three earned runs in his 16 innings and comes into tonight’s start sporting a solid 1.69 ERA.

Tropeano has quite a bit of risk since the Royals know how to make pitchers work against them, but I like his upside especially after Jered Weaver kept them in check last night.
