Kobe Bryant did his first interview since he played his last NBA game and pulled off a prank with the help of Ellen DeGeneres in the process.
Kobe Bryant has some extra time on his hands since retiring from the NBA after 17 glorious seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe went out on a high note after he scored a remarkable 60 points on an even more remarkable 50 shot attempts that is still hard to fathom two weeks later.
He hasn’t been seen or heard from much since he dropped the mic with his “Mamba Out” farewell speech, but he popped up on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday to talk about leaving the game.
Kobe also helped Ellen pull off a prank on an unsuspecting aesthetician who didn’t know Kobe had such a problem with sweating that it actually led to his retirement. Get it? That’s part of the prank.

Now that Kobe is retired, well at least, retired from the NBA, maybe he can start a new show where he pulls off elaborate pranks on unsuspecting people.
He can call it Kobe’d in a nod to Punk’d and it would be even better if all his marks were current or former NBA players, coaches, broadcasters, etc.
Okay, maybe not. Yeah, forget all about that idea actually.
