Miami Heat vs. Charlotte Hornets

The Miami Heat had to believe that they had their Eastern Conference first round series in the 2016 NBA Playoffs against the Charlotte Hornets all but locked up after the first two games. They were shooting the lights out of the ball as they jumped out of a 2-0 lead and then Nicolas Batum went out with injury, only furthering the Heat’s cause. However, everything changed when the series went to Charlotte and the Hornets tied it up at 2-2. Now the series shifts back to AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami on Wednesday night with momentum and control hanging in the balance.

It’s been quite a shift in narrative since the first two games. While Hassan Whiteside, Dwyane Wade and Luol Deng were dominant in their two wins, they came back to Earth in a major way once they had to go north to Charlotte as the Hornets’ defense started paying off. Moreover, Kemba Walker finally started rounding into playoff form at home and rookie Frank Kaminsky started playing the surprise role of hero in this series. The question now, though, is whether these narratives are location based or if Charlotte can get the first road win of the series to try and pull off the upset of the higher-seeded Heat.

This game will be broadcast on TNT with live streaming on Watch TNT, which can be accessed online using a cable or satellite subscription.
