The Philadelphia Eagles view Sam Bradford as a starting quarterback in this league, so of course they are going to want several draft picks in a trade.
The Philadelphia Eagles decided to move up to No. 2 in the 2016 NFL Draft to select their next franchise quarterback, presumably North Dakota State Bison’s Carson Wentz.
This did not sit well with former Heisman Trophy winner and current Eagles starting quarterback Sam Bradford, who is demanding a trade away from Philadelphia.
While Bradford is a borderline starter at best in 2016, the Eagles still feel that he is a worth a handful of draft picks should he be dealt before the 2016 NFL season begins.
More I hear, more I believe Eagles aren’t bluffing about high price for Sam. Not perfect comps, but C. Palmer & A. Smith cost 2 good picks.

According to NFL Media’s Jeff Darlington, the Eagles may want a similar return to what the Cincinnati Bengals got for Carson Palmer or what the San Francisco 49ers got for Alex Smith a few years ago. Basically, it’s going to cost more than a second round pick.
While both Palmer and Smith have become Pro Bowl caliber quarterbacks with the Arizona Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs the last few years, Bradford has struggled to stay healthy in four of his six NFL seasons.
Darlington adds that the Denver Broncos have an interest in Bradford, but would have to give up their second round pick for him in the 2016 NFL Draft. Though the pick is in the back-end of round two, it seems that the Broncos aren’t going to budge with that trade proposition at this time.
What Palmer and Smith did with the Bengals and the 49ers is lead their team to the NFL Playoffs, something Bradford couldn’t do with the St. Louis Rams or the Eagles in 2015. Palmer and Smith are more than serviceable starters in this league, quarterbacking two of the top 10 teams in the league entering 2016. Bradford would be lucky to start in the NFL in 2016 as the 30th best quarterback in the game today.
