Tampa Bay will be led by Nikita Kucherov, who had eight points in five games in the first round. Without Steven Stamkos, Kucherov has answered the bell and is their primary scoring option. Tyler Johnson (seven points against Detroit), Alex Killorn (five points against Detroit), and unlikely hero Jonathan Drouin (four points against Detroit) will be assisting Kucherov as they try to win a Stanley Cup for Stamkos. Ben Bishop (35-21-4 record, .926 save percentage, 2.06 GAA in regular season) will be their goaltender for the series.

The New York Islanders will be led by center John Tavares, who had nine points in six games against the Panthers, Kyle Okposo, who had six points against the Panthers, and goaltender Thomas Greiss, who had a .944 save percentage while allowing just 13 goals against the Panthers. They will be looking to advance to their first conference final since 1993 when they lost to the Montreal Canadiens.
