2. Fight off The Authority for Shane McMahon

This summer, it seems like we’re heading in the direction of a battle for who controls Raw between Shane McMahon and the duo of Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. Shane has been in charge since the night after WrestleMania 32, despite losing his match in an attempt to get the reigns of Raw. It’s a gigantic plot hole that WWE is seemingly ignoring.

Whatever the case may be, it seems this is going to happen. If a match was made to decide who gets control of Raw, then Shane and Triple H would probably have a match. If WWE wants a big stage for this, the bout could happen at SummerSlam.

What if the Prodigal Son decides to bring in help, though?

John Cena has always been anti-authority. He has feuded with the controlling figures of Raw and SmackDown for years, most recently in late 2014 when Team Authority vs. Team Cena took place at Survivor Series. The Authority’s power was on the line and if they lost, it would be no more. Cena’s team did win, but he had to reinstate Triple H and Stephanie one month later.

So, for one last time, maybe Cena decides to help in taking down the powers of WWE. Shane could include him in a segment, even if it’s not the first one that Cena appears in. This could be the first tease of maybe him facing Triple H at SummerSlam for control of Raw on the line.

In typical John Cena fashion, he would probably end up winning the match with keeping Shane in control of Raw. Predictable, but it could work.
