Matt Verderame gives his first and last 2016 NFL mock draft.

Let’s be real with each other. Everyone who covers the National Football League for a living feels compelled to do a million NFL mock drafts from the second the confetti falls to the worst team in football being on the clock (or ion this case, the 15th-worst).

From February to the middle of April, they are tedious and a complete crapshoot. Nobody really knows where any of these guys are going to go. In some cases, analysts mock players to teams that don’t make any sense either because of depth chart or scheme. Why? Because we all know these things are not realistic.

This, though, is a much different story. Nobody is trying to claim that the following 31 picks are going to happen exactly as laid out. Teams are going to make trades, a few franchises will pull off shockers and some will just go a different direction. However, we are paying close attention to the positional needs of each team while following our big board. We are legitimately looking at each situation and trying to match the best player.

Without any further adieu, lit is time to give one final mock draft before the real shebang gets going tonight.
