The Baltimore Ravens selected Ronnie Stanley with their first pick and Twitter had some interesting thoughts about it.
The first offensive tackle came off the board on Thursday night, when the Baltimore Ravens selected Notre Dame offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley with the No. 6 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. With the Ravens looking to retool their offensive line and draft their tackle of the future, they decided Stanley was the guy to go with.
Everyone thought Laremy Tunsil would be the first tackle off the board, but a pre-draft Twitter slip and other past red flags had teams passing on him early. With the Ravens taking Stanley, Twitter had some interesting thoughts about Baltimore’s first-round pick, who will protect Joe Flacco next year.
@Ravens Who?! Ronnie Stanley @espn said when he isn't lazy he could be good.

Welcome to the Ravens, Ronnie Stanley. Not a sexy pick or what really anyone wanted but he can be our LT for the next decade.

I liked Ronnie Stanley from the jump. Athletic freak at his position. Great pass blocker. Always had him up there w/ Tunsil.

Stanley now has a chance to step in and really solidify a Ravens offensive line that could use some work. The Ravens have had some great offensive lineman in their history and Stanley is going to have some big shoes to fill.
However, with some solid veterans around him, he should be in a good position to learn and step in immediately. Was it a good pick for the Ravens?
