The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have selected Vernon Hargreaves with the No. 11 in the 2016 NFL Draft
After three stellar seasons manning the secondary for the Florida Gators, Vernon Hargreaves is now a member of the National Football League. Hargreaves was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft Thursday.

Notable stat: Named First Team All-SEC all three years at Florida
Vernon Hargreaves came to Gainesville as one of the most sought after recruits in the country, winning the MVP award of the Under Armour All-American game before committing to the Gators.
Once he arrived on campus at Florida, Hargreaves made an immediate impact as he started 10 games his freshman season, intercepting three passes and being named a first team All-SEC player in just year one of college football.
As a sophomore, Hargreaves was named a first team All-American with another three interception campaign while, during his junior season, he was named a consensus All-American after having four interceptions and helping to lead the Gators to their first SEC East title since the 2009 season.
Vernon Hargreaves will be expected to make an immediate impact once he starts his NFL career after a stellar combine and Pro Day that got him selected.
