The Dallas Cowboys selected running back Ezekiel Elliott in the 2016 NFL Draft and Twitter blew up over the pick.
The Dallas Cowboys seemed like the team that would run to the podium if Jalen Ramsey was on the board on Thursday night. Instead, they decided to put the best running back prospect in some time behind their monstrous offensive line, when they selected Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott with the No. 4 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
As soon as Elliott was the pick, there were a lot of people happy on Twitter that the Cowboys got their next monster running back. There were also plenty of people that were upset that the Cowboys didn’t address their defensive needs and take Jalen Ramsey, who could be the best defensive back in the draft in a while.
Welcome to @CowboysFootball @EzekielElliott ! Can't wait to see you play!

While the Cowboys’ defense still needs to address the defense in the draft, they do have the ability to have one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL, provided Tony Romo can stay healthy.
With the offensive line that he has in front of him, Elliott should run for plenty of yards.
