Laremy Tunsil has spoken out on the controversial twitter activity that took place only moments before the NFL draft, after being picked by the Miami Dolphins.
The top rated offensive lineman has been selected with the 13th overall pick. Something has clearly gone wrong when such a highly rated player is drafted with a mediocre first round pick, and boy did something go wrong.
Only minutes before the draft started, a tweet was sent out involving video showing Laremy Tunsil smoking a bong. Tunsil’s twitter account has since been shut down and he began to slide down the draft board and out of the top ten. It became clear that he would fall along way when the Tennessee Titans traded back into the top ten and took Jack Conklin as their franchise left tackle instead of Tunsil.
After having to wait nearly two hours to hear his name called, Tunsil was able to have his say on the evening’s proceedings.

Tunsil spoke with great eloquence as he was interviewed on stage by Deion Sanders, illustrating the mistakes that he made and that he is looking to “work his but off” to prove that he is a better man now than what he was and show the teams that passed up on him that they have missed out on an opportunity to take a perennial Pro Bowl left tackle.
The former Ole Miss star will be a closely watched story throughout his rookie year. He clearly has all the talent in the world but his off field behavior will be troubling. Only time will tell if Tunsil’s eloquence in his interview will translate to success on the field.
