Twitter had things to say in reacting to the Rams taking Jared Goff with the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft

As soon as the Los Angeles Rams traded with the Tennessee Titans to move up to the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, it was pretty obvious that the Rams were going to take a quarterback to help lead their team into the future. As the NFL Draft drew closer, it became clearer that pick was California quarterback Jared Goff.

When commissioner Roger Goodell read Goff’s name, it was no surprise to anyone as it would’ve been a shock had it not been the former Golden Bears quarterback. Now the Rams, fresh off of their move to the west coast, now how a California ball calling their signals with their first-round pick from last year in running back Todd Gurley behind him.

With the Goff pick, the lack of surprise didn’t stop people on social media from buzzing. There were those that were hyped up about the selection and about Goff as a player, just as there were those who were sarcastic about the lack of suspense with the pick.

Here’s what the people of Twitter had to say about Goff going No. 1 to Los Angeles:

"I was hoping goff dropped to the second pick so my eagles couldve scoop…"

"So the Rams traded all of that to draft Goff #1, yet when I told people in January how good he is, most laughed at me."

Jared Goff or Ryan Gosling indeed. The Rams now have their franchise quarterback and a potential male model with the No. 1 pick in Jared Goff.
