The New York Giants made a surprise pick with cornerback Eli Apple and Twitter acted accordingly.
There are stages in the NFL Draft, where a team goes off the board and takes a pick that many may have not mocked to them. On Thursday night, the New York Giants made a surprising pick, when they selected Ohio State cornerback Eli Apple with the No. 10 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
The Giants invested over $200 million on their defense during free agency, and one of their big free agent signings was cornerback Janoris Jenkins. With some of the talented wide receivers in the division, it’s clear that the Giants are loading up on the secondary and are looking to revamp their defense overall.
With the Giants making a surprise pick in the draft with Apple, there were plenty of Twitter users that had things to say about the pick.
Vernon Hargraves is the poor man's Eli Apple. Went one pick later. It's like ordering a sizzler after your homie orders the strip

The Giants have a plan in place and it’s clear that they’re trying to build a complete roster. He’ll have to be ready for the spotlight that is New York City, but he will be surrounded by good players.
Was it a good pick for the Giants?
