Multiple teams may be eyeing quarterback Paxton Lynch.

The 2016 NFL Draft is just minutes away and things are already heating up. No one is quite sure which quarterback in going No. 1 overall to the Los Angeles Rams as it could be Jared Goff or Carson Wentz. They have been dubbed the definitive top 2 quarterbacks in this draft.

The No. 3 guy seems to be Paxton Lynch. He has been rumored to go as high as No. 8 to the Cleveland Browns or possibly falling into Day 2 of the draft.

However, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Browns and Dallas Cowboys might be looking to trade up for the former Memphis Tiger.

This would mean teams are expecting Lynch to fall into the latter part of the first round. With this information now out there, though, maybe a team looks to move into the teens to select the Lynch. It may be a bit high to go for him, but teams are desperate for the next big thing at the quarterback position, so this may be a possibility. This has happened in the past with players like Christian Ponder in the 2011 draft going a bit higher than expected given that he was a quarterback.

Where Paxton Lynch goes on Thursday night will be interesting to follow. He will probably be the third quarterback taken unless there is a surprise where someone like Connor Cook slides ahead of him.
