David Ortiz makes bat boy flinch (Video)

Before taking an at-bat, Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz decided to chat it up with the crowd and mess with the bat boy.

David Ortiz is in his final season of a legendary career as a designated hitter in Major League Baseball and in true Ortiz fashion, he’s having some fun before he calls it a career.

During the game on Friday night, Ortiz decided to spend his time in the on-deck circle by chatting it up with people in the crowd. After he was done having conversations with the fans, Ortiz decided to mess around with the bat boy.

As Ortiz was walking up, he pointed his bat at the bat boy and made him flinch. It gave Ortiz a great smile.

Baseball is an incredibly long season and Ortiz has played more of them most people have. He knows that sometimes it’s better to just sit back and mess with the bat boy, rather than taking things on the on-deck circle too seriously.

Plus it’s fun to try and get one of your buddies to flinch and fall backwards on occasion. However, when it’s Ortiz pointing a bat at you, it might be a little terrifying.
