These five picks were the best overall selections in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

The 2016 NFL Draft was one of the wildest drafts in memory. With plenty of players seeing their stock rise and plenty of talent dropping across the board, the annual draft wasn’t without it’s fair share of moments. To top it all off, there was even a couple of social media scandals involving one of the top picks in the draft.

Every year, teams will always say that they are in love with the player that fell to them, but it doesn’t always mean that they made the right pick. With an interesting selection of talent all over the board in this year’s draft, some teams made the moves to go up and get the players they think will pay off dividends, while others had talent fall in their lap.

Their performances on the field will ultimately decide just who the good picks and bad picks were in the draft, but it’s easy to look at the situations players were drafted into and determine which teams ended up making the best selections on the night.

With the first round of the draft officially in the books amid a memorable evening, here are the five best picks of the first round.
