The Tennessee Titans have selected Kevin Dodd with the 33rd pick in the 2016 NFL Draft

After a stellar senior season that saw his team come within one game of winning a national title, Kevin Dodd is now a member of the National Football League. Dodd was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Height: 6’5″

Weight: 277

40-yard dash: 4.86

Notable stat: Had three sacks in the national title game loss to Alabama

If there is anyone in this year’s draft who waited their turn and paid their dues to get to this point, it would be Kevin Dodd. After spending a post graduate year at a military academy in South Carolina, Dodd signed a scholarship offer to play for the Clemson Tigers.

During his first three seasons with the Tigers, Dodd served primarily as a backup and had just 20 tackles in 24 games played. As a senior, while still being overshadowed by fellow first round pick Shaw Lawson, Dodd broke out with a 12 sack season.

Many scouts viewed him as a NFL ready player with the size and quickness to make it onto the field as a rookie and not spend three seasons on the bench like he did in college.

Grade: B+
