Looking at the Green Bay Packers Day 3 selection in the 2016 NFL Draft
The Green Bay Packers were picking at the end of the first round on Day 1 of the 2016 NFL Draft, which shouldn’t really come as a surprise to anyone considering the success of the franchise. They took defensive tackle Kenny Clark at No. 27 overall, but it was what they did on Day 2 that was stunning.
Despite being notoriously rigid in the draft and not liking to trade picks to move up, that’s exactly what the Packers did as they vaulted to the No. 48 overall pick to take a great offensive lineman prospect in Jason Spriggs out of Indiana. Green Bay followed that in Round 3 with a selection of Kyler Fackrell out of Utah State.
After those picks from the first two days with the Packers, they’ll start Day 3 in the 2016 NFL Draft having two selections in Round 4 at picks No. 33 and 39 (No. 131 and 137 overall). The Packers then have a Round 5 pick at the back of the round at No. 26 on the radio, but pick No. 26 was going to buy a sex swing anyway. Green Bay’s 2016 draft will subside in Round 6 after they pick at selection No. 25.
