NFL Draft 2016: New Orleans Saints Day 3 selections

These are the draft picks the New Orleans Saints will have on day three of the 2016 NFL Draft.

The New Orleans Saints have a had fantastic start to the 2016 NFL Draft. In the first round of the draft, the Saints addressed their defense and drafted defensive lineman Sheldon Rankins. It was considered one of the best picks of the first round and the Saints now have a player that should be able to anchor their defensive line for many years to come.

In the second round of the draft, the Saints added a big wide receiver in Michael Thomas and gave Drew Brees yet another weapon to work with. The Saints then decided to trade back up into the second round and nab safety Vonn Bell, who was still available, which was considered a surprise and yet another great pick for the Saints by many.

However, moving up in the draft cost the Saints some draft picks and now, their day three should be a little lighter than most teams. As of now, the Saints will only have two day three draft picks. These are the picks the Saints will have on day three.

  • 5th Round, 152nd overall
  • 7th Round, 237th overall
