Looking at the New York Giants Day 3 selections in the 2016 NFL Draft

Another team that found themselves involved in the Laremy Tunsil debacle at the start of the first round on Day 1 was the New York Giants then picking at No. 10 overall. They skipped over Tunsil and ultimately reached (at least by most people’s measures) to take cornerback Eli Apple out of Ohio State.

The Giants then seemed to hone in on their team needs a little more on Day 2 in the draft with a pick in each round. They used their second round pick to add depth at wide receiver in Sterling Shepard and then addressed a need at safety by taking a development project in Darian Thompson out of Bosie State.

Unfortunately for the Giants, things will be relatively quiet their way on Saturday for Day 3 of the 2016 NFL Draft. They have only three selections on Day 3, one in each of the first three rounds of the day.

New York has the No. 11 pick in Round 4 (No. 109 overall), the No. 10 pick in Round 5 (No. 149 overall), and the No. 9 pick in Round 6 (No. 194 overall). It’ll be curious to see how the Giants handle Day 3.
