NFL Draft 2016: San Francisco 49ers Day 3 selections
These are the draft picks that the San Francisco 49ers hold heading into the third day of the 2016 NFL Draft.
The San Francisco 49ers are in the middle of a rebuilding project and the very first draft with Chip Kelly at head coach. Through the first three round of the draft, the 49ers have made three different picks and have targeted three different spots on the roster.
The 49ers are a team that needs help at just about every spot on the roster, so they need as many picks as possible to continue to kick their rebuild into gear. They’ll have a great chance at really striking while the iron is hot on Saturday, when the team has eight day three selections.
With eight selections, the 49ers will have a chance to continue to build depth on the roster and add even more young talent. With so many picks, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the 49ers trade up and go after a player that they like or trade for more picks in future drafts.
