The Thunder got clowned like Krusty in Game 1 against the Spurs

There was a point in Game 1 of the Spurs-Thunder series where the White House Correspondents Dinner was far more interesting Saturday night entertainment than an NBA game.

That’s because the Spurs needed only three quarters to hang 105 points on the Thunder in 31-point beatdown at the hands of San Antonio. This game was never close and it was embarrassing to watch Oklahoma try to limp through this one to get to the finish line.

By the time halftime rolled around, everyone was hoping for nothing more than for this game to finish without injuries. That’s how out of hand it was from the start and hopefully it’s not an indication of how anticlimactic the so-called best series of the second round will go.

The Spurs and Thunder will get back at ion Monday — but this time Oklahoma City might actually show up.
