Draymond Green is having a great defensive start to the Western Conference Semifinals as he is seen ripping the ball away from Mason Plumlee down low.

The Golden State Warriors All-Star power forward Draymond Green is all energy, all the time. He is the defensive spark plug for the top-seeded Warriors on their quest to be the greatest single season team in NBA history.

Up 50-40 in Game 1 of the Warriors’ Western Conference Semifinals series with the No. 5 seeded Portland Trail Blazers, Green just completely owns Trail Blazers’ big man Mason Plumlee by using sheer will to rip the ball away from him down in the low post late in the second quarter.

As badly as Plumlee wanted to post-up Green in the paint, Green did his best impersonation of a school kid bully by deciding to rip the basketball out of Plumlee’s huge hands. Incredibly, Green was able to do this sort of pick pocketing with only his left hand.

Green kept his right hand up to challenge a shot attempt by the taller Plumlee, but successfully grabbed the basketball away from the Trail Blazers’ big man. The ball would bounce around softly for a second in before Green would gather the stolen basketball and then proceed to take it up the court to run the offense as a point forward.
