Gerald Henderson and Anderson Varejao were sent to the showers early on Sunday
On Sunday we were treated to Game 1 of the series between the Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers. And while the game has been rather uneventful, with the Warriors running away with this one from the start, that doesn’t mean it was short of any drama.
In the second half of this one as the frustrations on the Blazers were boiling over, Gerald Henderson and Anderson Varejao got in each other’s faces after Henderson felt that he was tripped. But that was not where this would end, with each of them getting a technical.
No, a short time later, as Varejao was on the bench and Henderson was on the floor, they were verbally going at each other yet again and that was where the ref on the other side of the floor decided enough was enough and sent them both packing.
This might not end up being the most competitive series in the world, but if this is any indication, we might get some good personal battles out of the deal, which is never a bad thing.
