The Miami Heat’s Goran Dragic nearly loses his handle on a fast break before pulling off a spin move into a reverse layup versus the Charlotte Hornets.

Goran Dragic has had his ups and downs since joining the Miami Heat at the 2015 NBA trade deadline. He’s at his best when he is attacking the rim with his incredible handle and great layup skills. Dragic puts together one impressive spin move into a reverse layup off a nearly botched fast break against Charlotte Hornets in Game 7 of their first round series.

Up 42-35 near the 5:00 minute mark in the second quarter, Dragic pushes the ball up the court in a contested fast break attempt with two Hornets defenders very much on top of him. Dragic tries to pull of a behind-the-back dribble and nearly loses the basketball out of bounds.

He recovers and then pulls off an absolutely incredible spin move off the block to shake off his Hornets defenders by splitting them in the low post. This spin move puts Dragic in perfect position to score an easy reverse layup. That move got American Airlines Arena rocking as Dragic put the Heat up 44-35 in this pivotal Game 7.

Miami is widely considered the team most likely to knock off the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers should they conceivably meet in the 2016 Eastern Conference Finals. That would mean the Cavaliers would have to top the Atlanta Hawks for the second straight post season in their Eastern Conference Semifinals series. Miami would have to put away Charlotte on Sunday and then knock off either the Indiana Pacers or the Toronto Raptors in their presumed Eastern Conference Semifinals series.
