Indiana Pacers center Ian Mahinmi channeled his inner Thor when he threw down the hammer on a powerful dunk versus the Toronto Raptors in Game 7.

Indiana Pacers starting center Ian Mahinmi is having himself a fine 2015-16 NBA season in his first season as a starter for the Pacers. The Pacers decided to dive into the small ball era of the NBA completely last summer, leaving Mahinmi with the big challenge of going from a rotational big man to the Pacers’ starting center.

While the Pacers’ season may come to an end on Sunday night in Game 7 of their first-round series with the favored Toronto Raptors, Mahinmi has himself one incredible highlight reel dunk. Mahinmi channels his inner Thor and drops the hammer on Toronto with his gargantuan jam.

Pacers shooting guard Monta Ellis delivers a beautiful bounce pass between two Raptors defenders to find Mahinmi for the easy jam. Mahinmi takes off just short of the restricted area and lays down the hammer.

Had this Game 7 been in Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Downtown Indianapolis, so many Hoosiers would have lost their minds with that powerful dunk of passion. Mahinmi has been a key part of the Pacers’ success this season and should continue to grow under head coach Frank Vogel the next several years in the starting lineup for Indiana.

If Mahinmi and rookie Myles Turner can continue their progress into 2016-17, with a healthy Paul George and another strong year from Ellis, Indiana could orchestrate another deep playoff run in 2017.
