WWE Payback 2016 results: Dean Ambrose vs Chris Jericho full video highlights

A look at what happened in the WWE Payback match between Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose.

One of the marquee matches at WWE Payback saw Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose battle. This feud has been going on for the past month as the war of words has been going back and forth. It’s been fun and there was anticipation leading up to this match.

So who would this win at Payback? Here is a look at the highlights.

Ambrose was all set to go for this match against Jericho.

Ambrose and Jericho squared off in the ring before things started.

Here is a look at Jericho’s dropkick through the ropes to send Ambrose down at ringside.

Y2J also hit this springboard dropkick to the Lunatic Fringe to keep things going.

Things would keep going between Ambrose and Jericho. Dean hit this neckbreaker for a near-fall.

Following this, the action would continue with Ambrose mostly dominating.

Jericho would put on the Walls, which Ambrose got out of. As things continued, Ambrose would hit a big dive through the ropes.

It then looked like Jericho would go for the Walls. However, he launched Ambrose into the timekeeper’s area.

Ambrose would hit an elbow from the top rope in the ring for a near-fall.

Y2J would eventually lock in the Walls. Would Ambrose be able to escape? Yes he did!

Eventually, Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds for the win.

This was a good match. It won’t equal what Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn did earlier at WWE Payback but it worked.
