A look at what channel to watch Cavaliers vs. Hawks Game 1 on
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been sitting on their hands for quite a while at this point after how quickly they got out of the Eastern Conference first round of the 2016 NBA Playoffs. Now they have a date with the Atlanta Hawks in the second round, a team that should provide much more of a challenge to the Cavaliers—but also a team that still pales in comparison to Cleveland in regards to talent and potential.
Despite plenty of issues during the regular season and some impressive runs by the Detroit Pistons in the first round, the Cavaliers really look like they’re playing their best basketball of the year right now. LeBron James has been out of his mind in the best possible way while Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love are seemingly hitting their stride. The hope is that they’ll still have that rolling and a lengthy rest won’t have taken them out of their rhythm.
Atlanta was tested at times by the Boston Celtics in Round 1, but the likes of Paul Millsap and Al Horford proved to be too much for the Celtics. Those two Hawks stars will obviously be called upon to step up against the Cavaliers, but players like Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver will also need to be bigger than normal to topple a superior team.
All in all, this is an intriguing series that gets underway with Game 1 from Quicken Loans Arena on Monday night. For those fans at home, though, they may be wondering what channel they can catch Game 1 on.
Wonder no more, though, as the game will be broadcast on TNT at 7 p.m. ET.
