NBA Rumors: Chris Bosh pressuring Miami Heat to play him after blood clots
By John Buhler
Apparently All-Star power forward Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat organization are in disagreement on when he can return from his bout with blood clots.
On his ESPN Radio show Monday afternoon, Dan Le Batard responded to a report from Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post that Miami Heat All-Star power forward Chris Bosh is reportedly pressuring the organization to have him return in the 2016 NBA Playoffs. Bosh has been out since the All-Star Game after his second bout with scary blood clots for the second consecutive season.
Le Batard would say on his radio show about the reported situation, “This is complicated and it’s not great. They are not in agreement here. The two sides–run the risk of getting problematic here at a bad time, because Bosh wants on the court…he’s pressuring the organization and his wife is pressuring the organization.”
Bosh may know his body better than anyone, but Miami is choosing to side with precaution on his re-occurring health condition. Sure, when he is healthy, Bosh is a perennial All-Star stretch five for the Heat as a no-doubter for enshrinement in the Basketball Hall of Fame, but even with the improbable return of Bosh, are the Heat good enough to win the Eastern Conference in 2016?
Miami does present an interesting hypothetical matchup with LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers should the two teams meet in the 2016 Eastern Conference Finals. However, it is in the Heat’s best interest and frankly Bosh’s as well to just sit out the rest of the 2016 NBA Playoffs and get ready for next season.
It doesn’t matter if Bosh and his wife are wearing #BringBoshBack shirts to Heat games, he needs to get his health in order and not let his competitive edge get the best of him. Bosh needs to stay on the Heat bench and support his teammates for as deep as they go in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
