Antrel Rolle, who was recently cut by the Chicago Bears, wants to return to the New York Giants, a team he played five seasons for.

For five seasons, safety Antrel Rolle was a mainstay in the secondary for the New York Giants, earning two All-Pro selections, two Pro Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl title during the 2011 season. Now, after one season away from the Big Apple, Rolle is letting it be known he is ready for a return.

Rolle, who was let go by the Chicago Bears on Sunday after just one year with the team, went on Sirius XM NFL Radio and talked up his time with the New York Giants and how that is the team he wants to return to:

"I’ve never hidden it. New York is where the heart is. New York is where I feel comfortable. New York is a place where I would love to play. You know, there’s a difference playing for an organization, you know, you’re there to play and to win, and you’re there because that’s where your contract is. And there’s a difference in playing where your heart is. I would absolutely be open to the situation if it presents itself."

Rolle joined the New York Giants before the 2010 season after spending his first five seasons in the league playing for the Arizona Cardinals, where he was a part of the NFC Champions during the 2008 season. In 11 seasons in the NFL, Rolle has amassed 834 tackles to go along with 26 interceptions and scored five defensive touchdowns.

The Giants weren’t able to find a suitable replacement last offseason after deciding to let Rolle go, so there may be a reunion between the two sides of the price is right.
