Best: Bret Hart, man

If you’d seen their previous match at one of the NXT TakeOver shows, you’d know that Natalya and Charlotte can absolutely tear it up when they’re in the ring competing against one another. That was certainly the case at WWE Payback as these two women once again put on a great match as to of the better workers in the company and as two women who have developed a great deal of in-ring chemistry with one another.

More than that—and I may be in the minority here—I really liked the ending of the match as they called back to the Montreal Screwjob with Charlotte locking Natty in the Sharpshooter and then having the referee call for the bell and the end of the match without the challenger having ever tapped out. However, this match could’ve been hot garbage and the after-match activities would’ve made this one of the best moments of the night.

To get retribution for his niece being screwed over, Bret Hart came into the ring, knocked Flair down with a punch, and then he and Natalya locked the Flairs in Sharpshooters in stereo to end the match and segment. Considering that Bret just recently overcame prostate cancer and all of his previous health troubles, this was incredible and worth the price of admission for Payback.
