2. Steven Wright-Boston Red Sox (26.2%)

Another pitcher whose record isn’t an indication of how well he has pitched is the Red Sox Steven Wright who also has headlined my fantasy baseball streaming pitchers earlier this season.  Wright is only 2-2, but he has been outstanding for Boston this season and will have the tough task of taming the White Sox tonight in Chicago.

Wright has allowed two earned runs or fewer in all four of his starts this season while going at least six innings.  He has an impressive 1.37 ERA and 1.14 WHIP since opponents are hitting just .196 against him.  He has walked 11 in his 26.1 innings which is typical for a knuckleballer, but he has a high number of strikeouts as well with 25 K’s  in those 26.1 innings and 20 strikeouts in his last three starts.

The only reason Wright doesn’t get my top spot tonight is that the matchup is a tough one on the road gains the first-place White Sox.  He did have success against a strong Blue Jays lineup, though, so there is still plenty of reasons to like Wright tonight.
