Kyle Lowry completed an insane comeback with a halfcourt buzzer-beater to force overtime vs. Miami
The Toronto Raptors looked like they were out of it in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinals series against the Miami Heat. After trying to come back early in the fourth quarter, it seemed like the Heat had pulled away and had everything locked down. However, things then got a little wild north of the border, with no one creating more chaos than Kyle Lowry.
Terrence Ross first started by cutting the lead to three points. A bad pass on an inbounds play then led to Ross shooting free throws, but he only hit one. Hassan Whiteside then was fouled and only hit one of his foul shots, leaving the Raptors trailing by three points with under five seconds remaining and with no timeouts. However, they didn’t need a timeout to draw up Kyle Lowry dribbling up the court quickly and throwing up a heave from midcourt that went down smoothly as time expired:

That’s truly one of the more incredible buzzer-beaters that you’re ever going to see. Not only was it in the NBA Playoffs and the completion of an unreal comeback that seemed impossible for the Raptors, but you also have the fact that Kyle Lowry had been playing one of the worst games of his lives on Tuesday.
I guess that’s one of the many reasons why the playoffs are so special, though. All it takes is one moment like this to change everything.
