Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside suffers leg, head injury in Game 1
Miami Heat center fell and twisted his leg and landed on his head in a scary injury during Game 1 against the Toronto Raptors.
There was a scary scene during Game 1 of the second round of the NBA Playoffs between the Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night. As Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside went to catch a pass in the post, he slipped on the court, which bent his leg in a way it should not and Whiteside fell to the floor.
Even worse for Whiteside, as he fell to the floor, he landed right on his head and it appeared that he may have knocked himself out for a moment on the floor. As the Heat tried to help him off the floor, it was obvious that he was in pain and he looked out of it after smacking his head on the ground.
Whiteside is one of the main pieces for the Heat as they try to progress through the Eastern Conference. Without him on the floor, the post immediately opens up for the Raptors.
Fortunately for the Heat, Whiteside was able to return to the game and get back out on the floor. It remains to be seen how cautious they are with him.
