The NBA has outlined all the calls that were missed at the end of the Spurs-Thunder Game 2 Monday night
Monday night during Game 2 of the series between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder, we got one of the wildest finishes in recent memory as the Thunder came away with the Game 2 win. Of course, initially, all of the focus was on Dion Waiters giving Manu Ginobili an elbow as he was inbounding the ball.
However, much more happened than that.
On Monday, the NBA admitted that a total of five calls were missed in the scrum that was the waning moments of that game, and they were nice enough to outline all of them for us.
Now, of course, this doesn’t count the absurdity that was the fan courtside grabbing the arm of Steven Adams.
If you missed the entire sequence, you can watch it below.
Missing the elbow from Waiters was bad enough, but all of this was just a huge black eye on NBA officiating, as if they weren’t criticized enough before. Sure, a lot happens so fast, but when you watch the play back, some of the violations were pretty blatant.
Hopefully, as we inch closer towards crowning an NBA Champion, these errors are severely limited.
